Naming Ghosts Documentary

Created as part of an assignment within Dr. Cobb's PhD studies at SFU, this documentary explores the multimodal learning and literacies associated with the creation of an original film project written and performed by a group of children.  This documentary was created as part of a collaborative reflective practice, where the actors were involved in the production as camera operators and producers for each segment of the documentary.  This gave the young artists an opportunity to reflect upon each stage of the production process, from the writing of the script to the learning of lines; from the selection of wardrobe to the application of special effects makeup; from the choosing of locations to the physical performances on the green screen.  Wherever possible, references to the academic literature is included to give a sense of how this project was inspired by class readings (within the PhD course).
